Middlebury
is a quintessential New England town renowned for its recreational
facilities, fine schools & civic pride. Recreational Facilities

Quassapaug has 66 acres of wooded walking trails, ice-skating

Middlebury is conveniently located to the Litchfield Hills &

• Woodbury – the antique shop capital of the New England
is only minutes away
• Litchfield – with all its famous green, fine dining,
and classic Revolutionary era homes is a short scenic drive away.
The Litchfield hills offer a year round schedule of music festivals,
country fairs, nature festivals, arts and craft fairs, and agricultural
fairs. History abounds in the Litchfield’s Hills and the
New England of yesterday is preserved in towns like Kent, Litchfield,
Woodbury, and Washington.
Recreational activates in the Litchfield Hills include the following
great activities: canoeing, rafting, tubing, horseback riding,
skiing and snowboarding, fishing, bicycling, ballooning, and hiking
trails.
Schools:
Middlebury is partners in the Pomperaug School District with Southbury,
which is ranked among the top school systems in Connecticut.
Middlebury has two elementary schools (Middlebury and Long Meadow),
one middle school (Memorial) & it shares Pomperaug High School
with students from Southbury. Middlebury is also home to
the prestigious Westover School for Girls.
Convenience:
With two exits on I-84 and only minutes from Routes 8, 6, 63 and
64, Middlebury is an easy commute to: Hartford, Danbury, New Haven,
and the Litchfield Hills.

Danbury Mall, New England’s largest and the Brass Mill
Center are both convenient to Middlebury. The antique shops
of Woodbury are only minutes away. Yet as residents enter
Long Meadow they will be transported back to a New England community
of bygone days.
